Results of the discussions concerning the adjustment of the German feed-in tariff

On 9 July 2010, the lengthy discussions concerning the adjustment of the feed-in tariff in Germany came to an end. It was approved by the Bundesrat (German Federal Council) only one day before the Bundestag (German Federal Parliament) accepted the proposal of the convened conciliation committee.

Solar Energy in the Czech Republic 2010

The natural prevailing conditions for solar energy in the Czech Republic are similar to those of Germany. The sun shines 1,460 hours per year on average compared to 1,550 hours in Germany according to Verband der Unternehmer zur Nutzung energetischer Quellen. The solar irradiation conditions are especially good in South Moravia and South Bohemia. The proportion of the total output installed countrywide was the highest there, with 27.3 percent and 13.2 percent respectively.

Enercap 7.2 MWp
COLEXON secures a 7.2 MWp solar portfolio in the Czech Republic

COLEXON has secured a large-scale solar portfolio with a total capacity of 7.2 MWp in the Czech Republic. The project portfolio consists of three free field installations on a total area of 200,000 square meters. The First Solar thin-film modules used will produce approx. 6.8 GWh of eco-friendly solar energy. The order volume of the project is more than 20 million Euros. The financing is secured by EnerCap Power Fund and UniCredit Bank Austria AG.

Technical Planning for a Solar Power Plant – Steps Toward a Turnkey PV Plant

The technical planning of solar power plants is always be done to achieve optimal yields. The choice of high quality components, that correspond to the geographic conditions, plays a decisive role in this process.

To secure the planning, a facility planner must visit the site before tendering. With these and the technical documents obtained, a PV plant can be planned, ensuring optimum return and durability. After the technical design and the choice of components are completed, the turnkey offer is calculated.

Inverter

Solar modules produce a direct current. An inverter converts the direct current into a grid-compliant alternating current. This means that the electrical energy produced from solar energy can be fed into medium and/or low-voltage networks. According to the type of installation and power supplier, inverters can be used with or without integrated transformers.
