COLEXON secures a 7.2 MWp solar portfolio in the Czech Republic
COLEXON has secured a large-scale solar portfolio with a total capacity of 7.2 MWp in the Czech Republic. The project portfolio consists of three free field installations on a total area of 200,000 square meters. The First Solar thin-film modules used will produce approx. 6.8 GWh of eco-friendly solar energy. The order volume of the project is more than 20 million Euros. The financing is secured by EnerCap Power Fund and UniCredit Bank Austria AG.
EnerCap specializes in renewable energy investments in Central and South-East Europe. This collaboration between EnerCap and COLEXON is a promising basis for further joint PV projects.
COLEXON pursues business expansion in foreign countries to reduce the dependency on individual national funding models and to profit from new growth markets. The portfolio size makes the Enercap project of special importance to the company. However, in the first half of 2010, COLEXON already reported significant success in its projects in Italy, France and the US. Solar-powered plants with a total capacity of more than ten megawatts are currently being constructed in other European countries, or have already been completed this year. In the course of the year, COLEXON will continue to promote this development and significantly increase the international project turnover compared to the previous year.
