When choosing a system, cost-effectiveness is of paramount importance. Global solar exposure data, the output curve of the solar module and the investment costs all form part of the calculation. The reliability of the solar power plant also has an important influence on energy yields.

Integrated monitoring system

To provide non-stop reactive monitoring of our systems, and so ensure optimum yields, all of our solar power plants can be equipped with an integrated monitoring system, called "meteocontrol".

This early warning system offers comprehensive and reliable means of error detection and alerts. As soon as a fault occurs, it is checked and analyzed by our operating personnel, who take the necessary steps to fix the problem without delay. The customer is notified immediately. Depending on the service contract, we can also arrange for a qualified service engineer to correct the fault as soon as possible.

Reliable, long term operation

The data recorded for each solar power plant by the meteocontrol system is analyzed in a database in the central COLEXON telemonitoring station and stored in the system's log.* In addition to the data for the individual systems, we also gain experience regarding the typical values of system types and product families. The continued growth in COLEXON's knowledge and experience of the behaviour of different system types provides an ideal basis for reliable, long-term operation of the plants.

* The continuous archiving of data assists with troubleshooting in the event of a fault.

Regular reporting

Energy yields are logged every quarter of an hour and may be viewed by the customer at any time. Regular reports (yield reports, fault reports) are supplied to the customer via email or normal mail upon request. Monthly or quarterly reporting intervals are normally agreed with the customers in advance.
